A microchip registry restructures and the owner becomes unreachable at scan. A clinical note stays in the PIMS the next vet will never see. An intake observation about thunderstorm anxiety does not survive the transfer. Paperwork that distinguished a careful breeder disappears over three moves. None of these people did anything wrong; the infrastructure was not there. We are the infrastructure.

We can recognise your dog from a photo, and we will tell you when we are not sure.

The interesting part is not the recognition. Every recognition system can return its closest row and call it an answer. This one returns NO MATCH instead — proven on a dog it had never seen, where the nearest enrolled animal scored 0.15 against a 0.50 bar. It declined rather than guessed, and nobody was handed the wrong dog.

Implausibility raises the bar rather than closing the door. A candidate whose recorded size or breed disagrees with the photo must clear a correspondingly higher threshold — but the penalty is capped below the headroom, by construction, so a cross-country dog with overwhelming image agreement can still surface. A filter that could eliminatea candidate is a filter that can lose somebody’s animal.

The public verification page for the same animal as an unauthenticated visitor sees it: a green check reading Verified authentic, the sentence 'Independent evidence beyond the enrollment itself supports this animal's identity', and a rendering of the card's identity face for Franklin Avery Davis. — What someone holding the card sees when they check it — no account, no login. It answers whether the card is authentic and what the assurance level means, and it names the steward of record rather than the owner. A card for an animal whose owner has deleted the record answers that it was removed, because a printed card cannot be recalled and this page is the only place a deletion can be honoured.

urSmartID

Would you write your name, phone number and home address on a piece of paper and staple it to a telephone pole? That is what an engraved pet tag is. urSmartID does the job an engraved medical-alert bracelet does — it gets the right person reached fast — except that no data lives on the tag.

The tag carries a token, never a record. Three tokens in fact — one for the QR, one for the NFC chip, one short code a human can read aloud — and none of them is the animal’s identifier. Each resolves through a junction held in a separate database with separate credentials, so possession of a tag, or of the whole tag database, does not yield a single animal’s name, address or owner.

It is additive to microchipping, not a replacement. The chip number is stored as a record and matched, and a veterinarian can correct it on the owner’s behalf.

urSynergy sustains itself by operating infrastructure the ecosystem relies on — hardware acquisition for identity tags, recurring subscription for professional platforms, per-transaction routing for prescription and marketplace flows, and licensing on a Citation HP-008: Eight architectures are under active patent preparation; three are detailed publicly..

Companion Health is the newest of these and the one that most tests the posture. It helps a household plan for the cost of care — expected annual spend per animal, a recommended reserve, a glide path toward it — and it does that today with no bank involved and no money held by urSynergy. The Savings Network beside it is built and open for businesses to join. No partner has enrolled yet — nothing here is a live discount. When they do, each sets its own offer independently: prices are never compared, coordinated or synchronized between them, because that is the line between a network and a cartel.

Citation HP-007: urSynergy does not sell animal records, run an ad network against care surfaces, or gate the open standard.. It is not marketing language; it is the constraint that shapes every fork.
