Standards
urSynergy publishes two standards and holds itself to both. They sit at deliberately different distances — USAT1024 carries the urSynergy name because a taxonomy needs a citable publisher; AWDPS is maintained at arm’s length because a data-protection standard worth anything must be able to outlive the company that wrote it. Neither arrangement makes either one third-party validation of us, and this page says so rather than letting the distance imply otherwise.
USAT1024 — taxonomy
Citation HP-006: USAT1024 is published as an open standard, free with required citation. — professional credentials, identifiers, conditions, claims, organizations, and the relationships between them.
Seven canonical families organize the published specification. Each is versioned independently against the same document and cross-references established international taxonomies, so existing systems can map their vocabularies without losing meaning on the transition.
The standard runs. The registry behind it holds 41,950 concepts across 15 families — the seven the specification names, plus eight working families in production use and not yet published. Its resolver searches before it mints, and reports ambiguity instead of choosing. Its knowledge walk can answer we don’t know, and can hand back two authorities that disagree without picking one.
The standard is free to use. Required attribution is the only constraint. It is not gated, it is not licensed commercially, and it does not require urSynergy platform adoption. Any record system, any platform, any integrator, and any AI agent operating on behalf of a human can implement USAT1024 without asking permission.
urSynergy publishes the AWDPS data protection standard and holds itself to it. It is maintained at arm’s length — separate site, separate infrastructure, no shared sessions — so that it can be adopted and enforced by operators who are not us. That separation is a design goal, not an audit: nothing on this site should be read as a third party having certified urSynergy against a standard urSynergy wrote.
Why open standards
A record system that locks vocabulary inside itself cannot be an interoperability layer. An animal's record has to be reliably describable across every platform in their life; that requires a shared reference that any implementer can adopt, cite, and extend without negotiating commercial terms. urSynergy publishes the reference; other operators are welcome to implement it; everyone wins when the animal's identity travels coherently.
